CMA CGM invests in Pasqal to integrate quantum computing technology into the logistics sector
On July 9, French liner giant CMA CGM announced that it will invest in Pasqal, which will lead to the establishment of a quantum Centre of excellence in TANGRAM, which will be equipped with Pasqal quantum processors.
Hadi Zablit, Executive Vice President, Information Technology, CMA CGM Group, said: "The collaboration with Pasqal will enable CMA CGM to apply quantum computing technology to maritime transport and logistics, consolidating our group's leading position in the digital transformation of the industry. Through our partnership with Pasqal, we aim to unlock the full potential of quantum computing to improve operational efficiency and serve our customers."
In addition, the e-learning platform developed by Pasqal will be open to CMA CGM employees and provide training in quantum computing. TANGRAM and Pasqal will jointly organize events dedicated to quantum computing, including use case workshops, technology demonstrations and masterclasses, which are designed to foster innovation and collaboration within CMA CGM and its partners, customers and suppliers.
It is understood that the move is another important investment in the technology sector by CMA CGM, following the investment in artificial intelligence project Kyutai and technology company Mistral AI.
