MSC announces resumption and upgrade of LIBERTY route
On July 25, Mediterranean Shipping (MSC) announced the resumption and upgrade of the LIBERTY route, providing additional capacity to the continuing strong trans-Pacific market and competitive transit times between Asia and the East Coast of the United States.
The first ship is scheduled to be MSC HOUSTON, sailing QO432A, which is expected to arrive in Singapore on August 8. The new route will call on the following ports: Singapore - Shanghai - Busan - Miami - Savannah - Charleston - Philadelphia - New York.
As part of the service upgrade, the new route adds a direct service to Philadelphia in the United States in direct response to current market demand, which will also help MSC further consolidate its leading position on trans-Pacific routes and meet customer demand for efficient and reliable transportation solutions.
