Guangzhou Port in July sea and rail combined transport volume exceeded 53,000 TEU
In the middle of summer and July, the Guangzhou Port and Sea rail combined transport has broken the ice and achieved the combined volume of sea and rail over 53,000 TEU in a single month, refreshing the monthly record high and striving to catch up with the annual target progress. According to statistics, from January to July this year, the cumulative completed volume of Guangzhou Port and sea rail combined transport increased by 35.7% year-on-year.
Since the beginning of this year, Guangzhou Port Group and Guangzhou Railway Group have continued to deepen cooperation, joint marketing efforts have been strengthened, the two sides have worked together in Nanchang, Xiangyang, Meizhou and other places successfully held customer promotion meetings and train launch ceremonies.
In July, the traffic volume of Zhongshan Huangpu intercity train achieved a new breakthrough, further opening up and consolidating the traditional inland hinterland market. In addition, the railway business successfully developed by Fujian direction has also injected new vitality into the diversified development of sea-rail combined transport.

In order to further improve the efficiency and service quality of sea-rail combined transport, Guangzhou Port has promoted the integrated production organization of sea-rail combined transport through a series of effective measures such as joint office, system interconnection and information sharing, accelerated the integrated development of MTR, and jointly built a new ecology of sea-rail combined transport.
At present, the docking of Guangzhou Port multimodal transport system, Nansha Port South Station TOS system and Guangzhou Railway Cloud platform system has achieved stage results. Nansha Port South Station, as one of the important nodes of the strategic cooperation between the two sides of the MTR, has realized the whole process system management and dynamic tracking of containers from the terminal to the train shipment, and the operation process and internal management have been continuously optimized. Operational efficiency and service quality have been significantly improved, and solid steps have been taken towards the digital and intelligent transformation of sea-rail combined transport.
The capacity of the East coast has been improved, and a new blueprint for development has been planned
Guangzhou Port actively plans to improve the port capacity of the East Coast Railway, focusing on promoting the facilities renovation and capacity improvement projects in the Xingang Area and the Xinsha Area.

Xinsha Phase II will increase the investment in loading and unloading equipment, improve the capacity of container filling, and carry out 35 tons of open top box grain filling business on a regular basis through process transformation, in order to meet the incremental business needs of customers. The above measures will effectively promote the port evacuation capacity of Guangzhou Port East Coast Railway to 200,000 TEUs, and further consolidate the strategic positioning of Guangzhou Port as a comprehensive logistics transportation hub in South China.
