With the arrival of the summer peak, Shanghai Luchao Port railway Container Center station sea-rail combined transport business has repeatedly reached a new high, in July, completed the container delivery of more than 87,000 TEU, completed the delivery of more than 182,000 tons of goods. In the first seven months of 2024, 517,000 TEU of containers were completed, and more than 1.02 million tons of goods were sent, a new high in the history of the station.
In the face of the surge in sea-rail combined traffic, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has optimized service measures, broadened service "interfaces", and strives to provide reliable transport capacity guarantee. The subordinate Nanxiang Marshing Station optimizes the fixed shift setting, reduces the stay time of traffic flow in the station, runs "full axle" trains, and continuously improves the passing capacity of the railway "capillary" connecting the port. At the same time, firmly establish the sense of "chess", play the role of "midfield engine" of Shanghai railway hub, work closely with Shanghai Luchao Port Railway Container Center Station, Shanghai Port Sea Railway intermodal transport company, Shanghai Railway Logistics Center and other forces, jointly build a set of efficient operation contact mode, and accurately arrange driving plans in stages according to customer needs. Seamless docking, loading and unloading, shipping schedule, to maximize market demand.
With the increasingly close cooperation between railway and port departments, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. actively undertook the "transit railway" traffic transfer and opened a number of container sea-rail intermodal trains to the Yangtze River Delta and surrounding areas, opening up a new channel for the rapid circulation of materials across the country. After arriving at Luchao Port by train, these materials were then shipped to Southeast Asia, North America and other countries and regions by ship, maintaining the stability and smooth flow of international industrial and supply chains and promoting the prosperity and development of international trade.
