The China-Russia Sub-Committee on Arctic Shipping Routes cooperation was officially established
At noon on August 21, local time, in the presence of the prime ministers of the two countries, Li Xiaopeng and the General manager of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation Aleksandr Lihachev jointly signed the "Protocol on June 27, 1997" "Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Establishment of a Mechanism of Regular Meetings between Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers and its organizational Principles". The China-Russia Sub-Committee on Arctic Shipping Routes was formally established to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the Arctic. The Memorandum of Understanding on Maritime Search and Rescue Cooperation between the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China on Promoting the application of autonomous driving technology in cross-border cargo Transport were jointly signed with the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Starovoit.

On the morning of August 22, Li Xiaopeng held talks with Starovoit and exchanged views on further deepening China-Russia practical cooperation in the field of transport. Li Xiaopeng pointed out that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era has reached an all-time high and continues to move forward. Relying on the mechanism of the Transport Cooperation Sub-Committee of the China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee, the two sides have continuously deepened exchanges and cooperation in railway, civil aviation, international road transport, maritime and river transport, border port infrastructure and autonomous driving technology, providing strong support for the high-level development of China-Russia economic and trade cooperation. During the regular Prime Ministers' Meeting, we signed the relevant memorandum of understanding under the witness of the two Prime ministers, enriching the outcomes of the regular meeting between the two prime ministers. Going forward, China is ready to work with Russia to give full play to the role of the Transport Cooperation sub-committee of the China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee and push bilateral practical transport cooperation to a new level.

Starovoit welcomed Li Xiaopeng and his delegation. He pointed out that China and Russia have maintained sound cooperative relations in the field of transport and actively promoted cooperation in railway, civil aviation, international road transport, border port infrastructure and other fields. The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is willing to further expand the areas of cooperation between the two sides and promote the continuous progress of China-Russia transport cooperation.

During his stay in Russia, Li Xiaopeng also investigated the Russian branch of China Communications Construction Group.
