Adjust the route attached to Qingdao Port, and upgrade WA1 and SW2 routes from Asia to West Africa
On October 9, Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced the upgrade of WA1 and SW2 routes between Asia and West Africa.
According to reports, the adjustment will not only upgrade the original SW2 route from bi-weekly to weekly service, but also add a new connection to the Nigerian port of Leci, shortening the transportation time to Ivory Coast.
It is worth noting that the upgraded WA1 route will be added to the port of Cotonou. At the same time, the route will no longer cover Qingdao Port, and the service to Qingdao Port will be transferred to SW2.
The port order of the upgraded WA1 route is: Shanghai Shanghai - Ningbo Ningbo - Nansha - Singapore Singapore - Port Kelang Port Klang - Apapa Apapa - Tincan Tinkan - Cotonou (New) - Tema - Tema Lome - Port Kelang - Port Klang - Singapore - Shanghai, its first flight date has been October 3, 2024 from Shanghai.
In addition, the SW2 route will be added to the port of Leci and the port of Qingdao, and the weekly service after the service upgrade will be alternately called to the port of Leci and Ona port.
At the same time, the port of Cotonou will no longer be covered by the SW2 service and its related services will continue to be provided by the WA1 service.
The order of departure for the upgraded SW2 route (Lekki Port) is: Qingdao Qingdao - Shanghai Shanghai - Ningbo Ningbo - Xiamen Xiamen - Nansha - Singapore Singapore - Abidjan Abidjan - Tema Tema - Apapa APAPA - Lekki (New) - Abidjan Abidjan - Port Kelang Port Klang - Singapore Singapore - Qingdao
The order of departure for route SW2 (Onne) is: Qingdao Qingdao - Shanghai Shanghai - Ningbo Ningbo - Xiamen Xiamen - Nansha - Singapore Singapore - Abidjan Abidjan - Tema Tema - Apapa Apapa - Onne Ona - Abidjan Abidjan - Port Kelang - Singapore - Qingdao, the first flight of the upgraded SW2 route has been scheduled to depart from Qingdao on September 23, 2024.
ONE said that the upgrade and adjustment of this route is to provide customers with more convenient services.
