PIL has launched a new weekly feeder service (IQF) between Jebel Ali in the UAE and Umm Qasr in Iraq to further expand its service network in the Middle East.
According to the official website, IQF will cooperate with Pacific's flagship route in the Middle East - China Persian Gulf Route (GCS) transport, as a dedicated feeder service, IQF will help strengthen the Middle East region and other Pacific service markets "linkage".
The IQF branch will make its maiden voyage on 15 November 2024 from Jebel Ali Port by PIL's Kota Handal.
William Ho, General Manager, Long Line Trade, Pacific's Route Operations Management Department, said: "With the launch of the IQF feeder service, we aim to expand Pacific's business in the Middle East and capitalise on the growth potential of the region. This also reflects PIL's 'customer first' corporate purpose, by constantly 'pushing the envelope' to meet the needs of global customers for more extensive route coverage in the Middle East region."
