According to foreign media reports, CMA CGM has recently returned to Ukraine via the new Odessa Express (ODX) route. As a result, CMA CGM has become the latest liner company to offer services to Ukraine after MSC and Iteris Feeders.
According to reports, the ODX route will call at the port of Odessa, Ukraine, and deploy two 1100TEU ~ 1500TEU container ships, and the port order of the ODX route is: Piraeus - Odessa - Ambari - Piraeus.
It is understood that on February 24, 2022, local time, Russia launched military operations against Ukraine. As a result, the port of Odessa, Ukraine's largest port, was closed and ships stranded. Affected by this, including CMA CGM, MSC, Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd and other liner companies, as well as DSV, DB Schenker and other freight forwarding giants, have suspended relevant business in Ukraine.
At that time, CMA CGM announced that from February 24, 2022, all vessels will be suspended from calling Ukrainian ports until further notice.
