On December 24, shipping giant Maersk issued an announcement that the port of Genoa VTE is about to be closed and restrictions imposed due to civil works on the rail network.
Specific impact periods are as follows:
From 00:00, January 2 (Thursday) until 04:00, January 7 (Tuesday);
From 00:00 on January 11 (Saturday) until 24:00 on January 12 (Sunday).
Maersk said that during this period, not only will all trains to and from VTE Genoa be suspended, but normal routes to and from Vado and Genoa will also be suspended.
