To strengthen its operations, CMA CGM adjusts its Mediterranean routes
In order to strengthen its operations, CMA CGM has announced that it will restructure its TMX 2 route connecting Turkey, Italy and France.

The TMX2 route will be restructured starting in the seventh week of 2025 and the revised service will be launched in Aliaga on February 12, exclusively serving the northern Turkish market to Italy and France and vice versa, ensuring connectivity to any other destination via the Malta hub and providing global trade services to the Italian market.

Cma CGM Marine said the TMX2 route will strengthen sustainable maritime links between Turkey and the Western Mediterranean. The weekly service will provide a sustainable maritime connection between Turkiye and the Western Mediterranean, operated by a fleet of 4 vessels, each with a capacity of 1,780 TEUs.

TMX2 routes rotate as follows:
Aliaga(Aliaga) - Gemlik(Gemlik) - Izmit(Izmit) - Ambarli(Ambari) - Malta(Malta) - Salerno(Salerno) - Napoli(Naples) - Livorno(Livorno) - La Spezia(La Spezia) - Genoa(Genoa) - Marseille(Marseille) - Malta(Malta) - Augusta(Augusta) - Aliaga(Aliaga)

In addition, CMA CGM announced that it will launch the EGAL route connecting Egypt, Greece, Malta and Algeria.

The EGAL route will begin in Week 7, departing from Alexandria on February 12, offering direct flights from Egypt to Greece and Algeria, and allowing flights from Egypt to destinations around the world via Malta and Piraeus hubs.

Cma CGM said the EGAL route will enhance sustainable maritime links between the Eastern Mediterranean region and Annaba, as well as fast connections between Egypt and Greece. The weekly service will be operated by a fleet of 4 vessels, each with a capacity of 1,400 TEU.

The EGAL route rotation is as follows:
Alexandria - Piraeus(Piraeus) - Thessaloniki(Thessaloniki) - Malta(Malta) - Annaba(Annaba) - Alexandria(Alexandria)

At the same time, CMA CGM Marine announced that it will restructure MPS, the Intramed service connecting the Eastern and Western Mediterranean.

The Intramed service, which will begin sailing from Mosalerno, West Bar, in the 10th week of 2025, will provide the Mediterranean market with a sustainable sea bridge between the Eastern Mediterranean and the Western Mediterranean/Morocco/Portugal.

Intramed's weekly service will be operated by a fleet of six vessels, each capable of holding 1,400-1,800 TEUs.

Intramed routes rotate as follows:
