Hapag-lloyd launches routes linking Colombia and the United States


Hapag-lloyd will launch IAM America Shuttle 2 (GUF) service, which will begin operations in mid-March 2025.

The new route will connect Colombia to the United States and will join the Florida Shuttle (FLS) route, which was previously part of the new Gemini Cooperation between the German shipping company and Maersk.

"In addition to our FLS shuttle service between North and South America, which was originally introduced as part of our Gemini partnership, we have also presented an update to another cargo program. Beginning in mid-March, we will launch our IAM American Space Shuttle 2 (GUF) to meet your cargo needs."

The route will begin operations on March 20, 2025, with the first voyage taking place from the Colombian port of Cartagena on the container ship Maersk Biscayne.

Port terminal rotation of IAM America Shuttle 2 service will consider a stop in Cartagena, Colombia; Tampa, USA; New Orleans, USA; Then back to Cartagena.
