Hapag-lloyd raises freight rates for Asia-Europe and Asia-Africa routes!
Hapag-lloyd recently announced an increase in freight rates on a number of routes, including Far East - Europe, Asia/Oceania - Africa routes.
Among them, the increase in the Far East-Europe route integrated freight rate (FAK), including fuel return charge (MFR) and peak season surcharge (PSS), involving Northern Europe, Adriatic, Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean, Black Sea and other regions, applicable to dry and refrigerated containers, will be implemented from March 1, 2025.

Hapag-lloyd has also increased the Asia/Oceania-Africa Consolidated Rate Increase Surcharge (GRI) for dry, refrigerated and special containers to $300 /TEU, also effective March 1, 2025.
The Asia/Oceania region includes: Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna Islands.
The African region includes: Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote d 'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Democratic Republic of), Angola, Namibia, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania.
