Shipping companies collectively announced the March freight increase notice, these routes are going to rise
The latest release of the Shanghai Container export Freight Index (SCFI) shows that the index fell significantly from the previous week by 137.83 points to 1758.82 points, a drop of 7.26 per cent. The fall affected the main four routes, almost resulting in a decline in freight rates on all routes.

SCFI

Global container rates continue to fall, mainly because there is no sign of a recovery in cargo volumes, and the freight rate index has been declining for five consecutive weeks. In order to reverse this unfavorable situation, shipping companies have taken a variety of measures, including increasing or reducing voyages and controlling shipping space, to support freight rates. At the same time, shipping companies including Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd and Wanhai have announced price increases for March, which cover a number of important routes such as Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Africa, the Middle East and the Indo-Pakistan region, as well as near-ocean routes.
