MSC opened two ocean-going trunk lines and made its first voyage in Dalian Port!
On February 18, the inaugural ceremony of MSC's "Dalian - Europe, the Mediterranean" container route was held at Dalian Port Container Terminal of Liaoning Port Group, marking the successful inaugural voyage of MSC's two container ocean-going trunk lines - the European route and the Mediterranean route, which ranked first in the world in terms of container capacity.
MSC has been cooperating closely with Liao Port Group in recent years.
A total of 32 19,000 TEU ships were put into the above two routes, and they reached the important ports of Britain, Germany, Egypt, Turkey and other countries in Europe and the Mediterranean region. With sufficient shipping capacity and space, efficient and convenient logistics, it will fully meet the import and export needs of chemical products, automobiles and parts, mechanical and electrical equipment, mineral resources and other products between hinterland enterprises and Europe and the Mediterranean region, and effectively guarantee and promote the economic and trade cooperation between the Northeast hinterland and Europe and the Mediterranean region.
In the past five years, MSC has successively opened four foreign trade routes in Liaoning port, including the western Mediterranean, Vietnam and Thailand, and Indonesia. The container throughput has doubled in three years, and the compound growth rate of the transshipment volume around Bohai Sea has reached 30%. Besides, MSC has successively launched five "one single system" products covering the major node cities in Northeast China, such as "Shenyang - Dalian" and "Changchun - Dalian". The cooperation between the two sides has achieved remarkable results, formed a good situation of mutual benefit and win-win, and effectively met the diversified logistics needs of the regional market.
