The latest data show that in the whole year of 2024, the vehicle throughput of the port of Shanghai reached 3.63 million vehicles, an annual increase of 15%, surpassing the Belgian port of Antwerp - Bruges (3.23 million vehicles) for the first time, becoming the world's first port of vehicle throughput. In addition to the Haitong Terminal, the Nangang Terminal in the new area of Shanghai Lingang is a new force rising in recent years, and the current ro-ro shipping routes have extended to 36 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, South America and North America. In 2024, the cumulative export of vehicles from Nangang Terminal exceeded 370,000, of which new energy vehicles accounted for 70%.
