Maersk and CMA CGM have announced the launch of ASAS2/SEAS3, a new route from Asia to the East coast of South America.
Maersk said that in addition to the existing ASAS route services, the new route will provide a wider service network, higher connectivity efficiency and flight frequency. Cma CGM said the new routes are in line with market changes in the region and demonstrate its commitment to providing high-quality services to support customers' business growth.
It is understood that the new route will deploy 11 5000TEU ~ 8000TEU vessels, of which CMA CGM operates seven and Maersk operates four.
The sailboat "CMA CGM NANSHA" will make its maiden voyage from Shanghai on April 9 and Nansha will call at: Shanghai-Shekou - Toudun - Singapore-Santos-Singapore-Shanghai.
Highlights of the new route include: Stable shipping schedule: Operated jointly by Maersk and CMA CGM, it provides weekly direct services and reserves more than 20% of the journey buffer time to ensure transport reliability. Expand coverage: Increase the number of ports in Vietnam and China's Shekou port to provide customers with more choices. Strengthen regional connectivity: Through the Port of Santos, optimize the feeder connection between the Port of Victoria and the Port of Rio de Janeiro, and improve logistics efficiency. Increase the schedule density: Increase the frequency of the Shanghai-Santos route to meet the growing trade demand.
