CStar Line will launch a new shipping route connecting China and the Red Sea
Container shipping enterprise CStar Line will launch a new route FRS1 connecting China and the Red Sea. It is planned to make its maiden voyage on July 26th, and the first vessel is the 1,831 TEU "CSTAR VOYAGER".

It is understood that this route operates two flights per month, with four container ships of 1,600 to 2,000 TEU capacity put into operation. The port of call sequence is: Qingdao - Shanghai - Nansha, Guangzhou - Jeddah - Aqaba - Sukhnai - Qingdao. Some voyages will skip the ports of Aqaba and Sukhnai.

It is understood that CStar Line is headquartered in Dubai and provides consolidation services between the Far East, India, the Middle East, the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea. At the same time, it also provides multimodal transport solutions.

It is worth noting that the situation in the Red Sea region has been unstable recently. On May 6th, Trump announced that the United States had reached a ceasefire agreement with the Houthi forces, and tensions in the region had eased somewhat. However, in early July, two merchant ships, "Magic Seas" and "Eternity C", were successively attacked by Houthi forces in the Red Sea waters, causing the situation in the Red Sea region to become tense again.

The UN Security Council held an open meeting on the Yemen issue on July 9th. At that time, UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Grundberg, said that the situation in the Middle East was unstable. The Houthi forces had recently launched attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea. In response, Israel carried out air strikes on Sana 'a and several ports.

Geng Shuang, China's deputy Permanent representative to the United Nations, also stated at the meeting that he called on the Houthi armed group to respect the navigation rights of merchant ships of all countries in the Red Sea in accordance with international law, stop attacking merchant ships, and safeguard the safety of the Red Sea's waterways.

Although many shipping companies have returned to the Red Sea in recent times, most of them still emphasize that they will only consider returning to the Suez Canal and the Red Sea region after ensuring its complete safety. Some enterprises also mentioned that only when insurance companies reclassify the relevant areas as safe zones can ships return.

A shipping giant once clearly stated that in their interactions with clients, all of them were eager to resume the Suez Canal and Red Sea routes as soon as possible. However, they had a prerequisite: they did not want the routes to change repeatedly. This meant that there was only one chance to return to the Suez Canal and Red Sea routes, and "absolute safety must be guaranteed."
