DHL appoints new CEO for global freight forwarding business in Greater China
DHL Group today announced that Aditi Rasquinha has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, DHL Global Forwarding, effective August 1, 2024, replacing Steve Huang, who retired due to age.
In terms of cargo volume in 2023, DHL Global Forwarding is the third largest sea freight forwarder and the second largest air freight forwarder in the world, with sea freight volume of 3.089 million TEU and air freight volume of 1.672 million tons in 2023.

According to the DHL website, Aditi Rasquinha was responsible for the shipping segment of DHL's global freight forwarding business at the DHL Group from 2005 to 2014.
Since then, Aditi Rasquinha has been head of Marine operations in Thailand and the Netherlands for Kuehne+Nagel, the world's largest maritime freight forwarder. Until 2021, she was the head of maritime business for the Asia Pacific region of DB Schenker, the world's fifth largest sea freight forwarder.

The Shanghai New Energy Vehicle Center of Excellence mentioned by Aditi Rasquinha was just set up in May this year to further support the development and "going to sea" of Chinese new energy vehicle enterprises. Following Indonesia, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, this is DHL Group's first new energy vehicle Center of excellence in China, the world's largest market for new energy vehicles.
It is understood that the Shanghai New Energy Vehicle Center of Excellence has more than 50 warehouses and related facilities to provide seamless, end-to-end integrated logistics services for new energy vehicle products, including batteries, motors, charging infrastructure, etc.
At the same time, the center is equipped with a professional team that can meet the special needs of the new energy vehicle industry while ensuring efficient handling, warehousing and transportation.
