China's first zero-carbon coal terminal pilot project has been launched in Huanghua Port
On August 22, the National Energy Group Huanghua Port Company released the zero-carbon port construction plan, marking the official start of the zero-carbon port construction in the coal port area of Huanghua Port, and promoting the port's development from green and low-carbon to ecological zero-carbon. It is reported that this is the country's first zero-carbon coal terminal pilot project.
In June this year, the zero-carbon pilot project of the third phase terminal of Huanghua Coal Port Area was selected into the first batch of pilot projects of the Ministry of Transport's "Zero-carbon pilot Project of typical highway and waterway transportation and facilities". National energy group Huanghua Port Company takes this opportunity to actively promote the formulation of zero carbon port construction plan. According to the construction plan, Huanghua Port Coal Port Area will take building a world-class zero-carbon ecological port as the overall goal, and continue to exert efforts in efficient energy utilization, electrification of port vehicles and ships, clean energy supply, zero-carbonization of production capacity increment, regional integration of emission reduction and emission reduction, diversification of carbon sequestration and offset, wisdom and refinement of energy conservation and carbon pipe control. Through the implementation of 27 key projects in 10 key areas, such as the application of energy-saving technology for equipment and facilities, the optimization of loading and unloading processes, the construction of smart grid systems and "wind storage" systems, the energy efficiency of equipment and facilities, green power supply capacity, port loading and unloading production efficiency, zero-carbon fuel supply capacity, port carbon sequeeration and negative carbon capacity, and smart energy management and control level. By 2035, we will strive to achieve the port energy utilization efficiency to reach the international leading level, all port vehicles and ships to achieve clean, the use of 100 megawatt level "wind storage" green power system to generate more than 200 million KWH of electricity per year, and direct and indirect emissions after carbon sink and carbon trading offset.
In terms of long-term planning, Huanghua Port Coal Port Area will vigorously promote the construction and use of onshore power facilities, strengthen the construction of zero-carbon fuel supply capacity, optimize the port collection and distribution organization mode, strive to build a leading onshore power use demonstration zone, green shipping corridor for coal transportation and green highway collection and distribution channel, and comprehensively improve the clean development level of the whole industrial chain of "road - port - shipping". Take ports as key hubs to drive the green and low-carbon transformation of regional economy.
