On the morning of September 9, a 50-knot China-Europe train slowly entered the container loading and unloading operation area of the railway special line of Hanglonggong Port in Jining Port, and the railway special line of Longgong Port ushered in the first batch of goods. This marks the opening of the special railway line of Jining Port and Longgong Port, and the official launch of the multimodal transport of hot metal in Longgong Port.

Hot metal connected, two-way fusion. After the launch of Longgong Port multimodal transport, these railway goods can be directly launched from Longgong Port, along the canal to the Yangtze River Delta and the Yangtze River; Waterway goods can also "cross the mountains" along the new Yanrailway, injecting new vitality and vitality into Jining port navigation multimodal transport.

It is understood that Longgong Port actively promotes the public iron water multimodal transport project, and the special railway line project is listed as a major project in Shandong Province. The project leads from the new Yanrailway Longgong Port station to the Longgong Port operation area, with an investment of about 1.455 billion yuan and a line length of 9 kilometers. The railway special line officially began full construction in October 2023, the overall project construction was completed at the end of June 2024, and the acceptance procedure was successfully completed in early August. On August 29, the transport Department of China Railway Jinan Bureau Group issued a telegram for the opening of the railway special line in Longgong Port.

On April 6, 2024, the first foreign trade export route of Shandong Province was opened, mainly to Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, Klang of Malaysia, Laem Chabang of Thailand, Dubai of the United Arab Emirates and other cities, and continued to provide "full-stack" logistics and transportation services for foreign trade enterprises.
