On October 22, Miros announced that Miros AS, a Norwegian maritime technology company, has completed the acquisition of full ownership of Miros Mocean AS, achieving an important milestone in its strategic growth.
As of September 2024, Miros acquired all remaining shares in Miros Mocean from its joint venture partners BW Group and Copenhagen Commercial Platform (CCP).
Miros Mocean will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Miros, with Marius Five Aarset taking on the role of CEO, and the acquisition enhances Miros' ability to provide cutting-edge real-time Marine insights to benefit all relevant market segments, including commercial shipping.
Aarset said: "The full integration of Miros Mocean into Miros enables us to further consolidate and optimise our portfolio of ship performance services. Our enhanced services will provide greater value to our customers and partners across the shipping industry."
Sungreen Logistics understands that Miros is committed to understanding how weather affects ship performance in real time, enabling operators to make safe, informed decisions. By digitizing local ocean conditions, Miros uses reliably measured data, rather than derived data, to provide an accurate, real-time overview of a vessel's performance and efficiency over its entire life cycle.
Aarset added: "The collaboration between Miros and Miros Mocean reinforces our commitment to delivering industry-leading Marine insights that improve vessel performance and fuel efficiency while enhancing maritime safety and sustainability. Focusing on our customers' changing needs, we offer innovative solutions including wave and current measurement from industry-recognized product Wavex, ship performance indicators with VTI, and safety monitoring with anti-roll Assistant."
