SeaLead launches the Mediterranean Gulf Express MGX
Singapore's SeaLead has announced the launch of its new direct liner service Mediterranean Gulf Express (MGX).

The Mediterranean Gulf Express (MGX) will provide direct shipping via the Red Sea, enhancing connectivity between the Middle East and the Mediterranean region.

MGX routes will operate once a week, offering dedicated routes connecting Jebel Ali, Djibouti, Aliaga and Damietta. This new route is designed to improve the efficiency of regional trade and will provide reliable direct access to Mediterranean ports, significantly reducing transit times for SeaLead customers. The first ship will set sail on October 24, 2024.

The Mediterranean Gulf Express (MGX) service mainly consists of a weekly dedicated service between the Middle East, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, which connects the strategic hubs of the North African and Mediterranean markets of Aliaga and Damietta. It takes 6 days to reach Djibouti and 14 days to reach Turkey. The network of feeder ships from Turkey passes through Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Georgia, Lebanon and Romania.
