Maersk launches new route SLN to strengthen Mediterranean service
On December 24, Maersk announced the integration of SLH and SLZ services into the new SLN-MEDITERRANEAN SEA C.
Maersk said the new direct flights between the Eastern and Western Mediterranean will reduce transit times for export and import customers, thereby reducing time to market and effectively supporting the customer's growth plans.
The SLN-Mediterranean Route C will come into effect on January 10, with the first vessel, NEXOE MAERSK 502E, sailing east from Barcelona.
The ports of call for SLN's new routes are: Mersin - Haifa - Alexandria - Fos Sur Mer - Barcelona - Valencia - Algeciras - Casablanca - Port Tangier.
