Freight traffic at the Port of Oakland rose 8.5 percent in November

At the Port of Auckland, full load exports increased 8.5% to 66,619 TEUs in November from 61,390 TEUs in November 2023.

Our total inbound and outbound volumes are increasing and agricultural exports are driving our outbound freight business."

Empty ship exports increased 14.7% to 22,495 TEU from 19,613 TEU in the same period last year.

The Port of Oakland was established in 1927 on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay and is managed by the Board of Oakland Port Commissioners. Since its founding in 1927, the Port of Oakland has been the primary maritime gateway for international containerized cargo traffic in Northern California, handling more than 90 percent of containerized cargo in the Northern California region.
