3 days direct to the Philippines, Xiamen Port ushered in the first voyage of Southeast Asia route CPX7
On March 24, with the smooth docking of the "Haifeng Yokohama" ship at Xiamen Port Haitian Pier, Xiamen Port ushered in the first voyage of the new Southeast Asian route CPX7.
According to reports, the route adopts an innovative port mode, effectively avoiding the long-term congestion of Manila North Port, direct to the Philippines Iloilo port, to create an efficient, stable and low-cost logistics channel between Xiamen and the Philippines. This is another important measure for Xiamen Port to further improve the route layout in Southeast Asia and enhance the regional radiation force, marking the upgrade of its international shipping hub function.
By optimizing the port route and cleverly avoiding transportation bottlenecks, the new route has reduced the voyage from Xiamen to Iloilo from the original 8 days to 3 days, significantly improving the logistics timeliness, helping enterprises reduce transportation costs, speeding up the regional supply chain, and bringing more development opportunities for enterprises in the two places.
With Xiamen Port as the hub, CPX7 routes are connected to Shanghai, Xiamen, Iloilo, Cebu, Cagayan and other ports, with a stable weekly operation, with a fixed schedule and efficient operation characteristics. The new route has a wide range of services, in addition to traditional cargo, but also with the transport of special boxes, dangerous goods and other diversified transport capacity, can fully meet the current growing export demand of electronic products, consumer goods and other goods between China and the Philippines.
It is reported that the route will invest in two 1100TEU container ships, which is expected to bring more than 500TEU of new throughput to Xiamen Port every week, not only enriching the port route structure, but also further consolidating the hub position of Xiamen Port in the Southeast Asian market.
The successful first voyage of the CPX7 route not only shows the forward-looking layout of Xiamen Port in shipping services and network organization, but also reflects its strategic responsibility to proactively serve the regional economy and build a modern logistics system.
In recent years, Xiamen Port has continued to accelerate the pace of expansion of international routes, actively integrated into the construction of the "Belt and Road" major channel, and focused on strengthening connectivity with Southeast Asian countries. In the future, Xiamen Port will continue to deepen the port and shipping coordination mechanism, expand the cooperation space with ASEAN countries, accelerate the construction of an efficient and smooth regional logistics new pattern, and contribute to the high-quality development of the global shipping industry.
