Ningbo Ocean Shipping has launched routes to Southeast Asia
On April 18th, the "Xinmingzhou 106" vessel, carrying containers of auto parts, daily necessities, office supplies and other goods, slowly departed from the Zhapu Port Area of Jiaxing Port, officially kicking off the upgrade of the Ningbo ocean-going Southeast Asia route.
It is reported that the upgrade of the Ningbo Southeast Asia route this time aims to split the original circular route of "Chap - Ningbo - Ho Chi Minh City - Laem Chabang - Bangkok - Chap" into two efficient international container dedicated lines: "Chap - Ningbo - Ho Chi Minh City" and "Chap - Ningbo - Laem Chabang - Bangkok - Sihanoukville".
According to the operation plan, the Ningbo COSCO "Pacanda" will set sail from the same terminal in Zhapu Port Area following the "New Mingzhou 106". After loading and unloading at Beilun Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, the two vessels will respectively head for Ho Chi Minh City Port and Lam Chabang Port in Southeast Asia.
Among them, the "Zhapu - Ningbo - Laem Chabang - Bangkok - Sihanoukville" route, which was first launched by the "New Mingzhou 106" vessel, has for the first time incorporated Sihanoukville, the largest deep-water port in Cambodia, into Ningbo's international shipping route map. This not only fills the company's route gap in Cambodia but also expands the connection between Ningbo Zhoushan Port and major ports in Thailand, Cambodia and other places. Efficient and coordinated maritime channels facilitate the deep integration of industrial chains between China and ASEAN countries.
In addition, the "Chakra - Ningbo - Ho Chi Minh City" express line, with the first voyage carried out by the "Pakanda" vessel, adopts a point-to-point direct flight mode, which can shorten the round-trip time between Chakra Port Area and Ho Chi Minh City Port by about 7 days, maximizing the logistics efficiency for booking customers.
It is worth noting that the direct import fruit business from Southeast Asia to Zhapu Port Area, exclusively carried by Ningbo Ocean Shipping, will rely on the upgraded Southeast Asia route to help customers further reduce the transportation cost per container and build a fast maritime lane for tropical fruits from Southeast Asia to reach the consumption market in the Yangtze River Delta.
