Maersk adjusts the ME2 route between the Middle East and Europe
On February 11, Maersk announced the adjustment of the Middle East to Europe route (ME2) service to further improve the operational efficiency of the route by optimizing the route layout.
Maersk said that in order to enhance the competitiveness of the route and ensure the stability of the shipment schedule, the ME2 route canceled the original plan to call Bremerhaven, and changed to call the port of Hamburg. The adjusted route, carried out by the ship "Stadelhorn", will make its first call to the Port of Hamburg on 21 March.
The new port order of ME2 is: Colombo - Chennai - Colombo - Algeciras - Rotterdam - London Gateway - Hamburg - Tangier Port Tangiers).
Maersk stressed that the company has always prioritized the improvement of service quality and ship reliability, and will continue to meet the global logistics needs of customers.
