Cargo ship colliding with gantry crane at Keelung Port
At 2 PM on October 14, at the 20 head of the West bank of Keelung Port in Taiwan Province, China, a barge named "Yuzhou Sailing" was transporting three new bridge cranes to the West Bank container terminal of the port. When it approached an old bridge crane waiting for replacement on the shore, an accident occurred. One of the three bridge cranes on board collided with the shore bridge crane, causing the bridge crane to overturn and collapse.

Yuzhou set sail at a speed of 1.9 knots and did not issue a speeding warning when it hit the old crane, which collapsed on top of five containers in the port, four of which were said to be empty. As a result of the accident, Piers 20 and 21 will be closed from October 14 to 18. Although there were personnel present at the port at the time of the accident, no one was injured in the incident.

Sungreen Logistics learned that the cranes on the "Yuzhou Departure" ship are owned by China Container Terminals Co LTD and will replace the old cranes at Keelung Port.
