BYD third ro-ro ship "BYD HEFEI" delivery
On January 7, 2025, another member of BYD's "sea fleet" was added, and the third ro-ro (car carrier, PCTC) "BYD HEFEI" vessel named after the Hefei factory was successfully delivered and set sail, which attracted the attention of people from all walks of life such as the government, the business community and the media.

The 199.9-meter-long, 38-meter-wide clean energy ro-ro ship, with 7,000 standard parking Spaces, applies the latest LNG dual-fuel clean power technology, carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 30%, to meet the needs of multiple routes. This marks another solid step for BYD in expanding its international logistics and transportation capabilities, which is of great significance for the in-depth implementation of BYD's globalization strategy.

The latest "BYD HEFEI" vessel is the first ship built by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International for BYD (Hong Kong) Co., LTD. 7000CEU dual-fuel vehicle ro-ro ship, a total of two vessels in this series.

According to Clarkson data show that in addition to the two ships in Guangzhou Shipbuilding International orders, BYD has also ordered another four 9200CEU car carriers in two shipyards under China Merchants Industry.
